The Science
This category runs on confident claims and thin evidence. We would rather show our working. Here is what the research actually supports for the ingredients we use, and where the honest limits are.
Dose is the whole game
The single most common problem with pet supplements is not the ingredient list, it is the amounts. A label can truthfully say it contains an ingredient while including a small fraction of the amount used in the studies that made that ingredient famous. The ingredient gets the credit; the dog gets very little.
We formulate the other way around. We decide what a meaningful amount looks like based on the research, then build the chew to accommodate it. It is a more expensive way to make a supplement and a considerably more defensible one.
What the evidence supports
Joint support
Glucosamine and chondroitin are among the most studied joint ingredients in dogs. The evidence supports their use for maintaining normal cartilage and joint comfort, particularly in older and larger dogs. The effect builds over weeks, not days.
Skin, coat and cardiovascular health
Omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA, are among the best-evidenced nutrients in canine nutrition. They support normal skin barrier function, coat condition, healthy cardiovascular function, and a balanced inflammatory response.
Digestive health
Multi-strain probiotics with prebiotic fibre support a healthy gut microbiome and comfortable digestion. Strain selection and viability at the point of feeding matter more than the headline colony count.
Immune and antioxidant support
Vitamin E and supporting antioxidants help protect cells from everyday oxidative stress and support normal immune function.
How long it takes
Supplements are not medicine and they do not behave like it. In our experience most owners notice early changes somewhere around four to six weeks, with fuller results over three to six months of consistent daily use. Anyone promising results in days is describing marketing, not biology.
This is exactly why we push subscriptions. Consistency is the variable most owners get wrong, and it is the one that matters most.
What we will not claim
Supplements support normal, healthy function. They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease, and none of these statements have been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Results vary between dogs. If your dog has a diagnosed condition, your veterinarian should be leading that conversation, not us.
Testing
Formulated in the USA from domestic and globally sourced ingredients, manufactured to Good Manufacturing Practice standards, and third-party tested batch by batch for purity and potency.
