Ingredients
Every active in a Naturals Health formula is here for a reason we can point to. Below is what we use, what it is for, and what the evidence does and does not support.
The actives
Glucosamine and chondroitin
The two best-studied joint ingredients in companion animal nutrition. They are structural building blocks of cartilage, and they are included to support normal joint comfort and mobility, particularly in dogs that are older, larger, or simply very busy.
Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA)
Sourced from fish oil. Omega-3s support normal skin and coat condition, healthy cardiovascular function, and a balanced inflammatory response. This is one of the ingredients where dose matters enormously, which is why we include a meaningful amount rather than a token one.
Turmeric (standardised for curcuminoids)
Used to support a normal, balanced inflammatory response. Curcumin is famously poorly absorbed on its own, so the form and the accompanying fats in the chew matter as much as the raw milligram count.
Probiotics
A multi-strain blend to support a healthy gut microbiome and comfortable, regular digestion. Strains are chosen for stability, since a probiotic that does not survive the shelf is not a probiotic.
Prebiotic fibre
Feeds the beneficial bacteria already living in your dog's gut. Probiotics and prebiotics work considerably better together than either does alone.
Vitamin E and antioxidants
Support normal immune function and help protect cells from everyday oxidative stress. Vitamin E also works alongside the omega-3s to support skin and coat condition.
What we leave out
- No artificial flavours or colours
- No unnecessary fillers used to bulk out a chew
- No ingredients included purely so they can appear on a label
Sourcing and testing
Our formulas are made in the USA from domestic and globally sourced ingredients. Finished batches are third-party tested for purity and potency before they ship.
A note on claims
Supplements support normal healthy function. They are not medicines, they do not treat or cure disease, and nothing here has been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. If your dog has a diagnosed condition or takes medication, talk to your veterinarian before adding any supplement. That is not legal throat-clearing, it is genuinely the right order to do things in.
