A formula is only as good as the people who reviewed it and the standards it was held to. Here is how a Naturals Health product actually gets made, and who is involved at each stage.

How a formula gets built

1. Start with the question, not the ingredient

Every formula starts from a specific need we hear about repeatedly from dog owners: stiffness in an older dog, a coat that has lost its shine, a sensitive stomach. We do not start with a trendy ingredient and reverse-engineer a reason for it.

2. Review the evidence

We look at the published research on candidate ingredients in dogs specifically, not extrapolated from human studies where we can avoid it. An ingredient only makes the cut if there is evidence supporting it at a dose we are willing to actually include.

3. Veterinary review

Formulas are reviewed by qualified veterinary professionals before they go into production, with particular attention to ingredient interactions, appropriate dosing by body weight, and which dogs should not take a given formula.

4. Manufacture and test

Production happens in the USA in facilities operating to Good Manufacturing Practice standards. Every finished batch is third-party tested for purity and potency before release.

5. Listen after launch

Owner feedback tells us things a study never will, such as whether dogs will reliably eat the thing. Palatability problems are formulation problems.

The standards we hold ourselves to

• Clinically meaningful dosing. If we cannot include an ingredient at a level the research supports, we leave it out rather than sprinkle it in.
• Full transparency on actives. Amounts are on the label. No hiding behind a proprietary blend.
• Honest language. We say "supports" because that is what supplements do. We do not say treat, cure, or prevent, because they do not.
• Third-party verification. Our own word is not evidence.

Talk to your own vet

Nothing on this site replaces the advice of the veterinarian who has actually examined your dog. If your dog has a diagnosed condition, is pregnant or nursing, is on medication, or is due for surgery, check with them before starting any supplement. Bring the ingredient panel with you.
